A valley
of villages.
Darma Valley follows the Darma River into a remote part of Pithoragarh, where village life unfolds beneath the Panchachuli peaks.
Dugtu and Dantu are among the valley’s best-known settlements, with traditional homes, local stays and close access to the Panchachuli Base Camp landscape. Farther villages preserve their own temples, fairs, stories and seasonal rhythms.
The appeal is not speed. It is the chance to move slowly through a living Himalayan valley and spend time with the people who call it home.

Dantu Village
A nearby settlement with cultural importance in Darma, including the sacred seat associated with the local deity Hya Gabla.
Panchachuli Base Camp
A short mountain approach from the Dugtu side that brings travellers close to the five snow peaks, especially striking in evening light.
Rimjhiyang Lake
A nature-walk possibility in the Dugtu landscape, to be included only after the local route and seasonal access are confirmed.
Sipu & Marcha
Upper-valley settlements that reveal the remoteness and seasonal cultural life of Darma’s final inhabited reaches.

Uttarakhand Tourism describes Dharchula as the nearest base and Dar or Sobla as entry points for Darma Valley. The exact permission requirement should still be confirmed for the chosen village and travel date.
Via Dharchula
Reach Dharchula first, then continue by local cab towards Dar or Sobla, subject to current road and seasonal conditions.

The tourism page does not state one universal tourist permit for the whole valley. Local registration, restricted-area or route-specific requirements must be verified before booking.
